Newlands Cape Town
South Africa
-
Arguably the most beautiful cricket ground in the world. With Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak offering the perfect back drop, Newlands has a seating capacity of 25,000. The ground hosted its first Test match on 24 March 1889 when England defeated South Africa by an innings and 202 runs.

-
Nobody who was there will forget England’s fantastic rearguard in 2010 to save the Test with just one wicket in hand. Nor will they forget Ben Stokes’ brutal 258 or Johnny Bairstow’s maiden Test century in 2016.
Edgbaston Cricket Ground
UK
-
Edgbaston Cricket Ground, also known as the County Ground or Edgbaston Stadium, is a cricket ground in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham, England. It is home to Warwickshire County Cricket Club and its T20 team Birmingham Bears.

-
Edgbaston was the first English ground outside Lord's to host a major international one-day tournament final when it hosted the ICC Champions Trophy final in 2013. With permanent seating for approximately 25,000 spectators, it is the fourth-largest cricketing venue in England, after Lord's, Old Trafford and The Oval.
Sheikh Zayed Stadium
Abu Dhabi
-
The Sheikh Zayed Stadium is a cricket ground located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The stadium cost $23 million to build and was opened in May 2004, with its inaugural first-class match being an Intercontinental Cup fixture between Scotland and Kenya in November of that year.
-
The stadium has a large stand at either end, with the areas square of the wicket offering grass banks for additional seating. It can hold 20,000 people.
Karachi National Stadium,
Pakistan
-
Built in 1955 and located on National Stadium Road, the National Stadium became the largest cricket stadium in Pakistan after renovations were made to Gaddafi Stadium, which reduced its seating capacity. As of now, being among the best cricket stadiums in Pakistan, the National Stadium can hold about 34,000 spectators. It is also the home ground of the PSL team Karachi Kings. It was once considered as the ‘Fortress of Pakistani cricket’ as Pakistan emerged victorious in most Test matches played on this ground.

-
The pitch here offers an advantage to fast bowlers in Test matches, but it remains batting-friendly for ODIs (One-Day Internationals). The stadium was also the host for the finale as well as several other matches of PSL in 2019. As for PSL 5, nine matches were played at this stadium, along with the opening ceremony of PSL 2020.
Al-Dhaid Cricket Ground
Sharjah
-
One of a number of new cricket venues in the UAE, Al Dhaid Cricket Village might just be the most remote. Located south of the village Al-Dhaid in the Emirate of Sharjah, the cricket village was inaugurated in 2009 when it hosted the Asian Cricket Council Twenty20 Trophy - and it quickly earned praise for the quality of its facilities and pitch.
-
It is set amongst the backdrop of palm trees which gives it a real sense of being in Arabia.
